Is Manchester United star Wayne Rooney set for another hair transplant?
Poor old Wayne Rooney. No sooner has he fronted up to the jokes about undergoing a hair transplant than he appears to be in need of another one.
The Manchester United striker made the headlines when he went public to say he was fed up with his receding hairline and to confirm that he had undergone a transplant.
He had the transplant last July amid frustration at the ever increasing size of his forehead.
At the time he tweeted: “I was going bald at 25 why not. I’m delighted with the result.”
But judging by his crown as he stepped up to take a penalty against QPR on Sunday, Rooney has developed new problems just as the public had begun to forgot he had undergone the treatment.
His first transplant might have given him a bit more firepower up front, but he’s now down to the bare bones at the back. While he boasts a more youthful hairline around his fringe, he is now balding on top.
So, will Wazza be going back to the clinic to tackle his latest brush with baldness?
Probably, if the scenes on Saturday are anything to go by. After putting the penalty away, he self-consciously adjusted the hair around his new bald patch after it was ruffled in the goal celebrations.
A trip to Poland and Ukraine could be followed by a visit to Harley Street this summer.
