Tottenham are reportedly planning to bolster their struggling attack with a move for Fiorentina striker Giuseppe Rossi.

The former Manchester United youngster would cost the north Londoners around £30m, but chairman Daniel Levy would consider that a small price to pay if the prolific Italy international could fire them towards Champions League qualification.

Levy and the Spurs board are long-term admirers of Rossi. He was consistently linked with Spurs over numerous transfer windows during his time with Spanish side Villarreal, but his series of injuries forced them to cool their interest.

Now that the 26-year-old is back to his best, Spurs will rekindle their interest, according to the Daily Express.

He is under contract at Fiorentina until 2017 and the Italians would be able to command a big fee for their striker.
