Fulham manager Rene Meulenstreen says it was “easy” to deal with Manchester United’s tactics during a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford yesterday.
He said: “The gameplan was quite straightforward, you know – get it wide, get it in.”
He added: “If you’re well organised and the goalkeeper is in good positions to come and collect the ball at times it can be easy.”
Meulensteen also said the draw at his former club felt like a win.
He continued: “I certainly felt that if you came in the dressing room after for the players, it felt like a win.
“It felt like really, finally the players said ‘we worked our socks off,’ and we do it week in week out. And recently we have got these knocks all the time.
“This one was really where everybody came in and says ‘fantastic lads.’ Everybody set out what we wanted to do. We worked hard on it in the week and it’s great to see that they guys got some reward of it.”
