As of 2025, BetMGM Sportsbook is legal and available online in the following US states and territories:
Arizona, Colorado, Washington D.C., Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming, and Puerto Rico (expected).
You must be 21 or older and physically located in one of these states to place real-money bets at the US sportsbook.
Where is BetMGM Casino legal?
BetMGM Casino is only available in states that allow regulated online casino gaming.
As of now, all the BetMGM Casino legal states are:
Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
Each state offers access to real-money slot games, table games, live dealer options, and exclusive BetMGM titles.

Where is BetMGM DFS legal?
No. BetMGM does not operate a DFS platform.

To use the BetMGM sportsbook and online casino, you’ll need to qualify by meeting the minimum legal and regulatory requirements according to your state’s guidelines.
Much of the detail varies state-by-state, but these are the main rules anywhere BetMGM is live.
You'll need to be of legal gambling age, have your ID verified, and also consent to let the sportsbook track your location to ensure you're in a legal state.
Additionally, trying to bypass location verification by logging in through a VPN is not allowed and could get you banned.
BetMGM requires a high level of account security. In certain states, sportsbooks will also require you to register in person, at a retail casino partnered with the sportsbook.
