Juventus are in pole position to land Palermo striker Paulo Dybala, according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Both Manchester United and Arsenal are reported to have made approaches for the Argentinian hotshot in recent months.

But the latest report suggests that he could stay in Serie A with champions Juventus.

Dybala, aged 21, has already had a £28.5m asking price publicly slapped on him by Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini.

Gazzetta claim that communication between Palermo and Juve has intensified to such a degree that Dybala’s agent, Pierpaolo Triulzi, has been called in for talks with Juve’s director general Beppe Marotta and sporting director Fabio Paratici.

That meeting is reportedly due to take place next week and could see the Old Lady take the next step in finalising a summer deal for the in-form forward.

Dybala, who has 12 Serie A goals so far this season, is apparently viewed as a long-term replacement for ex-United striker Carlos Tevez, who is expected to return to Argentina at the end of next season.
