OTP’s fortnightly betting round-up
daft-punt
With so much football on over the last couple of weeks, it is hard to believe that it is time for The Daft Punt column to take a look at some of the more original football bets once again. Time flies when you are having fun.

With every single Premier League team in action between now and Monday evening there is a great opportunity to win some money. Or at least have a bit of fun while losing it!

Let’s take a glance over some of the bets you can place ahead of this weekend.

Liverpool to win the first half, but lose the game against Manchester United. This is an interesting one, but for some reason I fancy Ferguson’s men to make a slow start against Liverpool. Benitez’s side have had an extra days rest, after all. Will it be enough to win the game though? No. United will come back in the second half. Place £5 on this to win £165.

For there to be 13 or more corners in the Chelsea v Man City game.
Both of these teams are very attacking and will be pushing forward whenever possible. Therefore, there is likely to be plenty of corners aren’t there? Makes sense to me! Place £5 on this to win £45.

Arsenal to finish inside the top three of the Premier League. However unlikely this may seem, it really could happen. The likes of Adebayor, Walcott, Fabregas and Rosicky are likely to be back between now and the end of the season. An unbeaten run could beckon. Place £5 on this to win £26.

Newcastle United to finish rock bottom of the Premier League. The Magpies sit just six points ahead of bottom placed West Brom and considering they have won just once in twelve games they are hardly heading in the right direction. They still have to play Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Aston Villa. Place £5 on this to win £77.50.

Five goals or more in the West Ham v West Brom game.
The Baggies have conceded over 50 goals in the league this season, so any game with them in is likely to create goals. Especially when you consider that they need to win games and therefore need to attack. Place £5 on this to win £34.85.

There we go then, another few bets for you to cast your eye over. These are just suggestions though and are put forward to put some ideas in your head! So, good luck with your football betting this weekend.

Let me know how it goes!

Until next time…
