Olly finally gets his beach training
Ian Holloway has taken his Blackpool players to train on the town’s beach, as promised. The unusually setting for the training session was caused by the club’s lack of indoor training facilities during the freezing conditions earlier this week.
The seaside session did have its unsavoury moments though.
The Seasiders boss spends a large chunk of his time bemoaning the fact that he won’t be able to keep hold of his skipper. But painting a picture of him as some sort of kiddy-snatcher during press conferences is hardly going to convince him to stay.
He said: “It was great we saw some of our fans, a little toddler group, and Charlie nearly went off with that age group, I think.”
Not content with offending his star player, Holloway then set about upsetting his strikeforce. DJ Campbell’s street cred took a severe battering when Olly revealed that his player had not got a proper snood and had been forced to cut the top of a hat off instead!
