Brighton and Leeds urged to go green for Plymouth Argyle

Green armies

There promises to be an odd colour scheme at tonight’s Championship match between Brighton and Leeds.

Both sets of supporters are being urged to ditch their usual colours and where green to highlight the plight of Plymouth Argyle.

Just a few weeks into its career, Brighton’s Falmer Stadium will be ‘swapping sides’ in a show of solidarity with Argyle supporters, who continue to find their club teetering on the edge of oblivion.

Brighton fans are no strangers to staring into the abyss, while Leeds supporters know what it’s like to have Peter Ridsdale involved in your club so it was quite a good fixture to choose.

A noble effort, but no real clue as to why their logo seems to be a football sperm.
