It’s all getting a bit tight in the Premier League, and with just a handful of games left to go there are still many questions waiting to be answered. Who’s going to win it? Who’s going down? Who’s finishing fourth? And now Wigan are staying up will a fan at the DW Stadium still get Roberto Martinez’s jacket on the last day of the season?

We just don’t know. But to give you an ever so slightly better idea, why not give this week’s Off The Post podcast a listen. You might even become a bit more knowledgeable on the following:

  • How to bend an already strained title race metaphor to breaking point
  • Why Pat Rice needs to invest in a wetsuit for the Arsenal dugout
  • some rather violent man-management in Italy
  • And why you should get Mark Hughes to pick your lottery numbers.

We’ve also got a blow by blow account of a rather timid FA Cup final day out, we pick our favourite goals from 20 PL seasons, and Paddy once again blows us away with his fastest, most compact Football League countdown to date. Now get that chicken off the pitch.

In England, when teams get relegated the fans release farmyard animals on the pitch in protest. In Germany they smoke bomb their own stadium. Is there ANYTHING that they’re not better than us at?

Ex-Spurs man Didier Zokora taking revenge on ex-Newcastle midfielder-turned-racist Emre in Turkey with this innocuous looking challenge. Just a booking then ref? Yeah, thought so.

Fiorentina coach Delio Rossi takes the Harry Redknapp softly-softly “put an arm around the player” approach a bit too far, instead going for the “planting a fist on the player” management style after Adam Ljajic sarcastically applauded his manager for subbing him off. Needless to say he got sacked, which more importantly means he is now available. Fingers crossed for more fisticuffs at Molineux next season then.
