With Swansea City managers past and present currently very much in fashion, OTP wonders whether this might filter down. While Roberto Martinez and Brendan Rodgers are being widely linked with the Liverpool job, your club might have to set its sights a little lower.

Here are 10 other former Swansea bosses you could choose from if you want to join the craze.

1. Jan Molby
Everybody’s favourite chubby Scouse Dane was in charge of the Swans for just over 18 months after taking charge in February 1996. He took them to the Division Three play-off final, but was sacked during the following seen as they hovered around the relegation zone. He’s since managed Kidderminster Harriers (twice) and Hull City, but hasn’t had a management job since 2004.

2. Alan Cork
Cork’s best-known for his spell in charge of the Swans’ Welsh rivals Cardiff City, but his first post was a part-season managing at Vetch Field. He’s never exactly set the world alight as a manager and has largely spent his post-playing career in backroom staff roles.

3. Micky Adams
The current Port Vale boss enjoys a yo-yo reputation. He spent 13 days and three matches in charge of the Swans in 1997. He quit his post saying the transfer kitty he had been promised was not forthcoming.

4. Paulo Sousa
The double Champions League winner was supposed to be the Swans’ new Roberto Martinez, but he’s yet to find success in spells at QPR, Leicester or Swansea. He’s now at Hungarian side Videoton, but your side could bring him back to England. Fourth time lucky.

5. Brian Flynn
Flynn spent the vast majority of his management career at Wrexham. But he could – in a very stretched way – be credited with Swansea’s current success. He took over in 2002 and stopped them dropping out of the Football League. You most recently saw him acting as Wales caretaker manager.

6. John Toshack
The standout name on this list. The former Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and Wales boss is currently in charge of Macedonia. His first management role was at Vetch Field, where he took Swansea from the Fourth Division to the First Division in four seasons.

7. Frank Burrows
The Scot had a decent four-year stint at Swansea between 1991 and 1995. He’s most recently popped up as caretaker manager at clubs such as Leicester and West Brom when his overlord, Gary Megson, has got the chop.

8. John Hollins
The former Chelsea boss spent three years as Swansea manager between 1998 and 2001. He last managed Weymouth in 2008. His son is BBC sports presenter Chris Hollins, so you could guarantee some good coverage for your club by appointing him.

9. Kenny Jackett
Jackett has been in charge of Millwall since 2007. He’s enjoyed considerable success, albeit they haven’t had the greatest season this time around. He left a brief stint as Manchester City reserve boss to join the Lions, but before that had been at Swansea for three years.

10. Terry Yorath
Yorath had two stints as Swansea manager, if that influences your decision. He got them promoted to Division Three in 1988. His daugher is Gabby Logan so, just like John Hollins, appointing Yorath could be good for your profile.
