Southampton’s Jason Puncheon left the field for unusual circumstances against Everton tonight… because he had to use the toilet.
The Saints were left with 10 men on the field while their winger left the field to use the club’s facilities. He was welcomed back rather amusingly by chants of: “Jason Puncheon, he went for a sh*t.”
The chant was soon followed by an equally humorous follow-up of: “Jason Puncheon, he sh*ts when he wants.”
No doubt this will be the last time Jason leaves the dressing room before a game without doing a last minute toilet visit.
OTP recalls a similar story involving Bruce Rioch, who reportedly got himself sent-off in the opening minutes of the match rather than have the crowd watch him racing off the pitch and know he was suffering a nasty bout of diarrhoea.
