We all dream of that big football bet. Yours truly won a grand on a horse bet not too long ago, and celebrated like he had hit the Euromillions, but that still doesn’t come close to how one Irish punter must have been feeling last weekend.
The gambler placed a €150 bet (rather sizeable we’re sure you will agree) on 12 different teams to win European league, and amazingly they all did so, rather hurting bookmakers Paddy Power, who were forced to pay out €102,592.71

Basel were the last team to come in, wrapping things up with a 1-0 final day victory over St Gallen.
It’s just ridiculous, with nearly all of the teams odds on to do the business, and most doing so by a comfortable margin. Stinger for the rest of us, eh?
