Marco Navas, brother of recent Manchester City signing Jesus, has signed for League Two side Bury.

The signing is seen as an extra measure to guard against the chronic homesickness that has affected Jesus earlier in his career.

Marco, aged 30, has signed a 12-month deal at Gigg Lane and will be deployed as a right-back or right midfielder.

But the move seems to be aimed at helping his 27-year-old younger brother to settle in Manchester. Jesus Navas has previously suffered from anxiety attacks when forced to leave hometown Los Palacios y Villafranca, near Seville, and has been forced home from various training camps and international tournaments.

He believes extensive counselling and the fact that he now has a wife and child will help him overcome those problems. And the arrival of his brother to the Manchester area is also aimed at helping him to settle.

Marco was most recently on the books of Segunda Division side Recreativo Huelva.
