Man Utd linked with ex-Man City midfielder Nigel De Jong

AC Milan enforcer Nigel De Jong is the latest Netherlands international to be linked with a move to Manchester United.

Incoming boss Louis Van Gaal is reportedly keen to bring his national team anchorman to Old Trafford with him in a cut-price deal.

Former Manchester City star De Jong, aged 29, is thought to be available for just £10m.

He would provide some bite to United’s midfield and has been impressive in his World Cup displays so far.

Many City fans were sad to see the Dutchman leave after the title-winning 2011/12 season and felt his contribution was undervalued.

United are now considering launching a bid to bring him back to the Premier League, claims the Sunday Express and Daily Star Sunday.
