Liverpool are hoping to tie-up a deal to snap up Fulham starlet Patrick Roberts.

The Reds sent scouts to watch Roberts in action again recently – their third trip to see him this season – ahead of a possible bid in January, claims the Daily Mirror.

Roberts, who is also said to be a target for Arsenal and Chelsea, has established himself as a regular in the Championship this season, despite being aged just 17.

He played two games for the Cottagers in the Premier League last season before their relegation.

The England Under-19 international has won plenty of admiring glances from the top flight though, and Liverpool are now stepping up their efforts to sign him.

Roberts, who can play on the right wing or as a second striker, has two years left on his Craven Cottage contract.

Fulham would reportedly consider selling him to the Merseysiders if he was allowed to immediately rejoin them on loan.
