Italy international Mario Balotelli has played his last game for the club and the club are planning to offload him to China or Turkey this summer, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Balotelli, aged 25, joined the Reds from AC Milan in a £16m deal in the summer 2014 transfer window.

He failed to make an impression and was loaned back to his former club for this season. But is also a peripheral figure there and is unlikely to be signed on a permanent deal.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp does not see a future for Balotelli at Anfield, so the Merseyside club will seek to sell him before the start of next season.

A big-money move to the Chinese Super League is said to be a real possibility, with clubs in the Far East having already lodged enquiries.

There is also interest from Turkey, but Balotelli seems to have run out of clubs in Europe’s major leagues who are prepared to take a chance on him.
