Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf claims Guardiola, who has agreed a deal to become City’s new manager this summer, is discussing summer transfer targets with Begiristain.

Guardiola arrived in the Dutch capital at around 11.30am on Monday morning. Two hours earlier Begiristain had been spotted at the Conservatorium Hotel.

The report suggests the pair had a conference room booked at the hotel and that discussions over deals to sign Ajax starlet Riechedly Bazoer and PSV Eindhoven’s Jetro Willems might have been on the agenda.
