England assistant coach Gary Neville has enjoyed a catch-up with former Manchester United colleague Ruud van Nistelrooy ahead of this evening’s friendly against the Netherlands at Wembley.

Van Nistelrooy is currently an assistant coach to Netherlands boss Danny Blind, although he will quit at the end of the season to focus on his coaching duties at another of his former clubs, PSV Eindhoven.

Perhaps he was able to offer Valencia boss Neville some points on La Liga, having spent time at Real Madrid and Malaga during his playing career.
