After scoring on the win over Germany last weekend, he opened the scoring at Wembley tonight.

If not against the run of play, the goal was certainly not in keeping with a pretty poor performance from Roy Hodgson’s side in the first-half.

But they burst into life with a slick passing move late in the first-half, with Vardy applying the finishing touch after a pull-back from Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker.
