Netherlands international striker Vincent Janssen is a transfer target for Arsenal, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 21-year-old AZ Alkmaar frontman has been in excellent form this season, scoring 26 goals in 33 games.

He also scored against England at Wembley in March in his first international start.

Those efforts have caught the eye of Arsenal’s scouts. The Gunners are still weighing up whether he would be a good fit for them.

He is in his first season at AZ having joined from second-tier side Almere City last summer. Prolific Dutch imports have traditionally been hit-and-miss when trying to translate their goalscoring to the Premier League.

Janssen, who will turn 22 in June, came through the ranks at Feyenoord.

Arsenal are yet to make any approach for him. They are also looking at Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi and Juventus’ Alvaro Morata as they seek to add a new striker to their squad this summer.
