Newly-promoted Middlesbrough are set to offer Radamel Falcao a third successive season in the Premier League, according to Bleacher Report.

The Colombia international has just completed a season-long loan at Chelsea in which he failed to impress. He has spent the previous campaign at Manchester United, but flopped there as well.

Falcao, aged 30, made just 10 Premier League appearances last season and scored only one goal.

He is still tied to French side Monaco, who signed him from Atletico Madrid in a €40m deal in 2013.

The formerly big-spending Ligue 1 outfit have repeatedly tried to offload Falcao and his mammoth wages, which resulted in the loan spells to United and Chelsea.

But they are yet to find a club willing to make a permanent move for him.

But Aitor Karanka’s Boro are reportedly hoping to bring him to the Riverside Stadium to bolster their attacking options for their return to the Premier League.
