The 21-year-old England international’s move to the Riverside Stadium was announced shortly before the Gunners confirmed the signing of Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia.
With Chambers’ first-team opportunites in danger of being squeezed further at the Emirates Stadium, he opted to make the switch to Aitor Karanka’s Boro instead.
The former Southampton academy player arrived on Teesside for a medical earlier today and his loan move was completed this evening.
Chambers has made 58 Premier League appearances to date for the Saints and the Gunners.
