Feyenoord team to play Man Utd

There are no fewer than eight changes to the side that started last weekend’s derby defeat to Manchester City.

Among the headlines is that youngster Marcus Rashford gets a first start of the season and the chance to stake his claim for a regular place in Mourinho’s team. He has impressed in cameo appearances so far this campaign, including coming off the bench to score the winner against Hull City last month.

You can get 5/2 on Rashford to score and United to win in the Ladbrokes Sports Market.

Chris Smalling replaces under-fire Daley Blind at centre-back and also captains the Red Devils in the Netherlands this evening.

Out-of-favour Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo and Morgan Schneiderlin are also given opportunities. Anthony Martial, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata come into the team, too.

Captain Wayne Rooney was omitted from the travelling party and is therefore not involved in the match.

He is among the eight players to drop out of the side defeated by City at Old Trafford.

The others are Blind, Antonio Valencia, Luke Shaw, Marouane Fellaini, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Jesse Lingard and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Mkhitaryan and Lingard were both publicly criticised by Mourinho for their displays against City. The Portuguese boss indicated that he was tempted to substitute both players during the first half of the 1-2 loss.

Only David De Gea, Eric Bailly and Paul Pogba retain their places in the team.

United are seeking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season and under Mourinho.

Starting XI: De Gea; Darmian, Bailly, Smalling, Rojo; Schneiderlin, Herrera, Mata, Pogba, Martial; Rashford
