Having scored both goals in Tottenham’s 1-2 win at Middlesbrough and the only goal of their game in their 0-1 win at CSKA Moscow last month, he was on target again for South Korea as they faced Qatar in a World Cup qualifier.

Yet against Son proved to be the match-winner. His second-half goal was the odd one in five as South Korea came from behind to record a 3-2 victory.
