French basketball player Victor Wembanyama is a highly touted NBA prospect. After he was officially drafted by the San Antonio Spurs, bookmakers took it as a carte blanche to offer all kinds of NBA Prop Bet Odds on the future superstar.

Wemby is a generational talent. Many consider him to be the next Lebron - a player that will produce off-the-chart stats. As a media darling, Victor is grabbing headlines daily, and bookies support the hype with a treasure trove of prop bets. Let's inspect a few of the dozens of available wagers for the new Spurs' center.

Wembanyama to Score 40+ Points in any Game (+300)

Superstars make shots, and a 40-point night is nothing out of the ordinary for great players, especially in a shooters league. But can Victor score 40 hoops in his rookie season? There are 82 games in the regular season, translating to many opportunities for Wemby to drop forty in a single game. The NBA prop bet odds are +300 on Wemby recording 40 points in a game.

Throughout his short career with the Metropolitans 92 of the LNB-Pro A French League, Victor averaged 21.6 points per game. However, on occasion, he has been known to score over 30 points, something he showcased against the G-League Ignite, an exhibition game played in Las Vegas last year, where Victor scored 37 points.

The caliber of defenders Victor is going to go against in the NBA is physically and technically stronger than what he faced in France. And standing at 210 pounds for a 7 foot 5 inches tall player is a disadvantage. Victor decided not to play for France at the World Cup, and focus on preparing for his rookie season.

“Ever since I stepped into the States, I think I’ve spent more time with the media than on the court. Unfortunately, I had a lot to do off the court, but I’m glad this is over now, and I can focus on basketball 100%,” said Victor.

Have 35+ Regular Season Wins (+190)

Recording 35 wins does not qualify as a winning season, but is a great start for a franchise that has been struggling in recent years. The Spurs had 22 wins last year. and the last time they won 35 games was in the 2018-19 season.

Despite Victor’s potential, he cannot play alone, and his supporting cast does not have the track record to infuse confidence about a winning season. The odds for Victor and the Spurs having 35+ wins are +190. It's worth remembering that two decades ago, LeBron James was in a similar predicament but managed to beat the odds. With Gregg Popovich at the helm and some new veteran acquisitions, Victor and the Spurs can cover 35 wins.

Wembanyama to Average 20+ Points and 10+ Rebounds Per Game (+240)

Parlay bets are also part of the offer, and although some seem impossible, like Wemby winning the Western Conference, there are realistic bets. One option is to wager on Victor averaging 20 points per game combined with 10 rebounds. This is his average from France and seems like an achievable feat for the center.

Yet, the NBA is not France, but with 56% shooting for the field, making 20 points doesn't seem impossible. Victor will be a pivotal player in both the offense and defense and have plenty of opportunities to stay consistent with his performance. The +240 odds make for a decent playout, and it would be a big surprise if the 7-foot-5 center is not able to make 10 rebounds in a game.
