The Celtics are visiting Kaseya Center tonight, January 25th, intending to build upon their three-game winnings streak on the road. Judging by the 6.5-point favorite status bestowed upon Boston by top sports gambling apps, the home team is up for a challenging matchup. Miami lost four games straight, and their 24-19 season record is not a very convincing argument about the qualities of last year's Eastern Conference finals.

The Celtics are the leader in the Eastern Conference with a 34-10 record. Matchups between the Heat and Celtics always attract attention, and Betway sports promo codes are an excellent option to wager on this NBA duel. Let's inspect the odds and preview both teams.

Miami Made Roster Changes

Miami is not radiating heat this season, although as the current 6th seed in the Eastern Conference, this team is playoff-bound. However, losing multiple games in succession is not a recipe for making it far in the postseason.

Miami is trying to fix its issue by trading for Terry Rozier from the Hornets. Interestingly, Rozier played in Boston in his first four seasons in the league. The trade requires Miami to ship out Kyle Lowry to Charlotte. Rozier is a good defender, and his most significant contribution is creating shots as a playmaker.

Creating more opportunities to score is desperately needed in Miami, a team ranking 26th in the league with 110.5 points per contest. Efficacy from the field is 46.3%, and 37.7% from behind the arc. Defensively, the Heat is not stopping opponents, allowing 110.7 points per game, and for a better perspective, they rank 5th in giving up points.

Jimmy Butler is still the team's leader, but Tyler Herro is the biggest contributor on the court with 22 points per game, compared to 21-point averages for Butler and Bam Adebayo. Veteran Kevin Love is questionable for toning, and Dry Smith is definitely out for the game.

The Celtics are Healthy and Riding a Winning Streak

The Celtics wrapped up their trip to Texas with two wins against the Rockets and Mavericks, and now Miami will have to try to contain their scoring prowess. Boston scores 120 points per game, shooting 47.5% from the field and 37.8% for three points. One stat category in which the Celtics dominate is rebounding, with 47.4 per contest, ranking first in the league. On defense, Boston allows 110.6 points per game.

Jayson Tatum is the most impactful player for the Celtics, averaging 27 points per night, most on the roster, and adding 8.4 rebounds a game. Boston has not reported any injuries for the upcoming game, and a healthy roster makes the Celtics even more dangerous. But Boston is not undefeatable - they lost to the Bucks 135-102 two weeks ago, and the Nuggets eliminated their chances of ending the season without any home losses last Friday.

Betting Prediction and Odds

The arrival of Terry Rozier will not instantly reinvigorate the Heat, and the high-scoring Celtics team will test Miami's already leaky defense. The Heat have lost their last four home games as an underdog. For tonight's game, Miami gets +230 odds on a moneyline bet, while the Celtics receive -285 odds for the same bet.

The betting lines for covering the 6.5-point spread are identical for both teams at -110 odds. The total is set at 225.5 points with -108 odds on the Over bet and -112 odds for the Under bet. Miami's struggles will probably not disappear, especially not against a conference leader in heat.
